There is a lot of hype about the upcoming Panther/Tiger scrimmage but let's keep some things in perspective.
First of all it's just a scrimmage, not a real game. It will give both teams a good idea of what works and what doesn't but considering it will be the first 'real live action' the players will see don't expect it to be an indicator of what both teams will look like by mid season.
There is a statement this game can make, however, and that is: Are the fans able to maintain an even keel and not become chaotic?
The kids have grown up together and while they will beat each other up on the field they will bond together afterwards over sodas and pizzas.
The community needs to follow suit and leave their differences on 'who is the better football team' at the stadium.
Both schools have a tough road to make the post season playoffs and I hope both do as well as they did last year in their respective regions.
People frequently ask me which school is my favorite?
I'm here to support both schools for football and all three high schools for all other sports. It's not about the school, it's about the kids, their skills, their dreams and what we, as a community, do to help them to the next level.

I agree that the fans should maintain good order during this PRIDE game. Our athletes are bitng at the bit to challenge one another, and I belieive that there will be a strong police presence to keep the FANS who caused this problem seperated.

All of this understood the Panthers are coming into this game with no other attitude than to bury the tigers on the field of play. This game menas alot to our young men on both sides of the ball that they are happy the school system has let them play again.

I just hope the Bradwell fans can control the emotional factor after we run, and pass all over them.

THIS IS NOT A SOCCER GAME.

Well said Patty.

Your right Dirty_WB this is not a soccer game. American football has timeouts, protective padding, helmets, a roster the size of a class, and a half time long enough to take a nap in.
