Well, the way that the Heading is posted would suggest to readers making them believe that it is a surprise. I'm not bragging on the two Teams (Panthers & Tigers) but it is no secret that for the very most part that Bradwell Institute dominates the Savannah Teams. It is also not surprising that Liberty County would also win against Savannah Schools even playing against a Team in a higher classification.

What is surprising is that Liberty County did beat a pretty good McIntosh Academy team who has dominated them over this decade. Liberty County does have a more challenging strength of schedule of teams to still play against such as Baldwin County, Thompson, Burke County, and etc. If Liberty County does well against those teams, there is no doubt that they will win their Region, and will do well in the post season.

Bradwell Institute is a pretty good team this year as well. In my opinion, this team is playing better than last year. But I wont get too over confident. Although they did win their first two games against a down year for Glynn Academy, and another bottom rung team of Wayne County. Bradwell Institute should have routed the two teams. However; a win is a win, and I can accept that.

A true test will come next week when Region 1-AAAAA Houston County travels to Hinesville to play Bradwell Institute. I said in the beginning of the year before any games were played that I have a gut feeling that this Bradwell Football team, (even after losing some key players) were in fact even better than last years team. Right now they are 2-0 but 2-0 against non contenders.

I also said that Bradwell Institute should go at the very least 9-1 or better in the regular season. I say that because you still have a good Camden County Team that is out there even though they lost a great deal of talented players. The only challenge that I can see is Camden County. A lot of fans from region 1-AAAAA suggested that Region 3-AAAAA with the exception of Camden County are so weak that any team from Region 1-AAAAA can beat, and dominate the remaining teams in Region 3-AAAAA to include Bradwell Institute.

I remember them saying that a few years ago when a Coach Ron Beachum Bradwell Institute Tigers Football closed their mouths upsetting the Valdosta Wildcats down in Brunswick ( If I Remember Correctly) only losing to the Warner Robbins Demons in the South Georgia Championship. That closed their mouths for a long time. Now here we go again.

If Bradwell Institue defense shut down Houston County's running completely, and keep the penalties down to a minimum, they (Bradwell Institute) will win.

I challenge all of you Fans (Liberty County & Bradwell Institute) to rally behind your teams, and give them the support that they very much need. Buckle up and hold on tight for a exciting 2009 Football Season in Region 3-AAA and Region 3-AAAAA.
