
One week after Lady Panther Jana Jones earned a first-place finish at the girls state track meet, Panther AJ Bennett accomplished the same, taking first place with a discus toss of 184 feet, 4 inches.
Bennett edged out the second-place competitor by 1 inch during the boys state track meet in Jefferson last weekend.
Bennett also placed second in the shot put, clearing 52 feet, 10 inches. The Liberty boys placed ninth overall at the meet.
