The Long County Lady Blue Tide had hot bats Thursday when they beat St. Vincent's Academy, 15-0, in Savannah.
The Tide were in the zone as soon as the opening pitch left the mound. The game lasted only four innings.
There were three triples, a double and two girls batting 1,000, and pitcher Kayla Mills had her best game of the year.
The sophomore hurler pitched a no hitter and struck out 10 of the 13 batters she faced.
The hitting stats for the girls also were impressive as Brittany Mills went 3 for 4 with a triple and 5 big RBI's, while Linda Stephens went 2 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBI's.
Brittany Lee was perfect at bat as she went 2 for 2 with a walk and a stolen base, as was Kimber Sapp who also went 2 for 2 with a walk.
Kelly Long was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's, and Kelsey Taylor went 1 for 2 with a double and two smart walks.
Skylar Ogden was 1 for 4 with an RBI, Mills was 1 for 3 with a walk and a triple, and Kelby Manning took one for the team getting hit by a pitch and going 1 for 3.
With the region win, the girls now have a Region 2-AA record of 3-4, and an overall record of 4-7.
The girls had Bradwell Institute come to town on Tuesday and Tattnall County High School on Thursday.  Full stories on those games will be in upcoming edition of the Coastal Courier.
